Are you proud of your business card?
I’ve lost count of the number of people who have handed me their business card, accompanied by an apology. Yes, an apology! The reason for the apology being, that they are not happy with the design of the card or their logo, and they have been meaning to have it redesigned for ages. They have been embarrassed to hand me their card.
When you work for an organisation you have no choice. You’re forced to hand over whichever card you’ve been given by management. If however, it’s your own business, you most certainly do have a choice. Your business card should reflect what you and business stands for. It should be something that you hand over with confidence and pride.
If you’re not 100% happy with your business card as it is today, I strongly recommend you speak to a designer about it asap. While it may be tempting to ask your brother’s best friend’s aunt’s cousin, who is studying graphic design at TAFE, you’ll find that using an experienced, professional graphic designer will make the world of difference*.
Got a good story to share about business cards?
